In the 16th Paragraph of my Despatch No. 22 of the 26th February, I reported that the Legislative Council had then under its consideration the expediency of extending the Summary Jurisdiction of the Supreme Court from 100 to 500 Dollars, and I now have the honor to forward, for the purpose of being submitted to Her Majesty for approval, an authenticated copy of Ordinance No. 3 of 1849, which passed the Legislative Council on the 17th Instant, entitled "An Ordinance to amend the Ordinance No. 6 of 1845, entitled 'An Ordinance to invest the Supreme Court'"
